What is Surrogacy?
Gestational surrogacy is the procedure whereby a woman – the gestational surrogate – consents with an embryo copy process, otherwise called an IVF Procedure. During this process, an embryo (or plural embryos) deriving from the couple acquiring the surrogacy service is implanted in the surrogate. If the procedure is successful, the surrogate becomes impregnated with the child of the couple (the supposed parents). The level of engagement with the surrogate thereafter is completely up to the intended parents – typically, the couple is associated with the initial IVF treatments, and being present at the point of delivery of their child. They then take responsibility for the child post-delivery and make the long term transition to legal parenthood.
The process begins by choosing a surrogate mother for your embryo and IVF procedure
Afterwards we sit down along with you and modify costs across a number of realms including, but not limited to medical, alimentary, accommodations, legal fees, travel etc.
Reliable, safe and innovative medical guidelines for the IVF procedure are undertaken.
We offer consultation with legal aid with regards to the nationality of your son or daughter, as well as formal adoption procedures and assuming responsibility of the baby once the surrogate has given birth
What is IVF?
IVF is something women choose opt for when they are having difficulties with infertility. The conventional IVF involves removing the human oocytes from the ovaries and the fertilization process, accomplished by “letting” motile spermatozoa to fertilize the oocytes into a special culture medium. This means that once embryos are produced, they are transferred into the uterine cavity through an activity called Embryo Transfer. IVF is utilized to imitate the biological functions, in vivo.
IVF is chosen for women who’ve blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, thus preventing the egg and sperm from meeting naturally. IVF also may help you and your spouse if your infertility is unexplained and/or the male spouse has a low sperm count. Other factors like mature age endometriosis, immunology, obesity and mindset may lead people to infertility. IVF can be the treatment for you if these factors come into play during this stressful time in your lives.
During a woman’s normal menstrual period, LH and FSH will be the hormones that the body uses to induce development and maturation of an individual oocyte. In order to optimize your pregnancy rates during IVF, it’s important to severa tmature oocyte available for fertilization, embryo development and transfer into the uterus. The ovaries are therefore activated using higher levels of the stimulating hormone that naturally exist within you. This is achieved using Gonadotrophin injections. A number of stimulation regimes can be found at this time, and the physician chooses the one best suited to your biological system, to be able to achieve a good number of high quality oocytes. Close monitoring of the follicles (the sacs which contain the growing oocytes in the ovaries) is necessary and is achieved with consistent ultra-sound to be able to ascertain their size and their numbers . At the appropriate timing, an additional amount of hormones will be administered, aiding with the ultimate maturation of the oocytes. Predicated by all the available opinions and laboratory conclusions, the most suitable time for the restoration will be decided.
This is the actual procedure where the doctor collects the oocytes of the female body, a procedure demanding anesthesia. A small needle enters the top portion of the vagina, through the guidance of the ultrasound, into the ovary’s follicles. The fluid that is aspirated will then be taken to the laboratory, where the oocytes will be identified and transferred into culture media inside an incubator at 37oC to continue the maturation process for several more hours.
In this stage, your partner must give his test of sperm on the day of the oocyte restoration which will be conserved until needed). His sperm will be carefully made ready with a special process and the healthy spermatozoa separately. There are roughly 100,000 motile spermatozoa added per oocyte, with 4-6 hours after oocyte restoration. This is for the fertilization to take place within the next 12-18 hours in the incubator. The insemination process will lead to the fertilization of the oocytes, and resulting embryos are transferred to different culture media to be viewed closely over the next 48 hours.
The best embryos are chosen and are transferred through the womb using a little catheter on the basis of their rate of growth and morphology. The amount of embryos which will be transferred is decided according to the age and medical history of the potential mother; alongside the quantity and quality of the embryos that have been released during each therapy cycle. For each couple, there is a possibility of having several child. Embryo transfer is a pain-free process, much like having a cervical smear, and thankfully takes only a few minutes. After the process has been completed, we recommend a brief resting period in the recovery room. The day after, oocyte retrieval progesterone and other supplements will be given to ensure that the lining of the uterus receives sufficient stimulation and sustains the implantation of the embryos. Quantitative pregnancy tests with blood also needs to be done 12-14 days after embryo transfer.
