What’s Surrogacy?

Gestational surrogacy is the process whereby a woman – the gestational surrogate – consents to the embryo transfer process, otherwise called an IVF Procedure. In this treatment, an embryo (or plural embryos) deriving from the couple obtaining the surrogacy service is implanted in the surrogate. If the procedure is successful, the surrogate becomes impregnated with the child of the couple (the designed parents). The amount of participation with the surrogate thereafter is absolutely up to the intended parents – typically, the couple is associated with the initial IVF treatments, as well as being present at the moment of delivery of their child. They then take responsibility for the child post-delivery and make the permanent changeover to legal parenthood.

Surrogacy Timeline

The process begins by choosing a surrogate mother for your embryo and IVF procedure

Afterwards we sit down together with you and adjust costs across a number of realms including, but not limited to medical, alimentary, accommodations, legal fees, travel and so forth.

Reliable, safe and innovative medical rules for the IVF procedure are undertaken.

We offer consultation with legal aid with respect to the nationality of your son or daughter, as well as formal adoption procedures and assuming legal responsibility of the child once the surrogate has given birth

What’s IVF?

IVF is a process women choose to undergo when they are experiencing difficulties with infertility. The traditional IVF involves the removal of the human oocytes from the ovaries and the fertilization process, achieved by “letting” motile spermatozoa to fertilize the oocytes into a particular culture medium. Which means that once embryos are formed, they are transferred into the uterine cavity through an activity called Embryo Transfer. IVF is utilized to imitate the biological processes, in vivo.

IVF is chosen for women who’ve blocked or broken fallopian tubes, thus preventing the egg and sperm from meeting naturally. IVF also may help you as well as your partner if your infertility is unexplained and/or the male partner has a minimal sperm count. Other factors like mature age endometriosis, immunology, being overweight and mindset may lead a couple to infertility. IVF can be the option for you if these factors come into play at this stressful time in your lives.

IVF Timeline

Throughout a woman’s normal menstrual cycle, LH and FSH will be the hormones that your body uses to promote development and maturation of an individual oocyte. In order to optimize your pregnancy rates during IVF, it’s important to have more thatn one tmature oocyte available for fertilization, embryo development and transfer into the uterus. The ovaries are therefore stimulated using higher levels of the stimulating hormone that naturally exist in your body. This is achieved using Gonadotrophin injections. A number of stimulation regimes are present at this time, and the doctor chooses the one best suited to your biological system, in order to achieve a great number of high quality oocytes. Close monitoring of the follicles (the sacs that contain the growing oocytes in the ovaries) is required and it is achieved with consistent ultra-sound in order to find out their size and their numbers . At the appropriate timing, an additional amount of hormones will be administered, aiding with the ultimate maturation of the oocytes. Predicated by all the available responses and laboratory conclusions, the best time for the restoration will be decided.

This is the procedure where the doctor gathers the oocytes of the womain’s body, a procedure demanding anesthesia. A small needle enters the top part of the vagina, through the guidance of the ultrasound, into the ovary’s follicles. The liquid that is aspirated will be studied in the laboratory, where the oocytes will be reviewed and transferred into culture media inside an incubator at 37oC to continue the maturation process for a few more hours.

In this stage, your partner will have to give his sample of sperm on the day of the oocyte restoration which will be preserved until needed). His sperm will be carefully prepared with a particular treatment and the healthy spermatozoa separately. There are around 100,000 motile spermatozoa added per oocyte, with 4-6 hours after oocyte restoration. This is for the fertilization to take place within the following 12-18 hours in the incubator. The insemination process will lead to the fertilization of the oocytes, and ensuing embryos are transferred to different culture media to be viewed closely over the next 48 hours.

Good quality embryos are chosen and are transferred through the womb using a little catheter on the basis of their rate of development and morphology. The amount of embryos that will be transferred is set in line with the age and medical history of the potential mother; alongside the quantity and quality of the embryos which have been released during each remedy cycle. For every couple, there’s a possibility of having several child. Embryo transfer is a painless treatment, much like having a cervical smear, and fortunately takes just a few minutes. Once the job has been completed, we recommend a brief resting period in the recovery room. One day after, oocyte retrieval progesterone and other supplements will be recommended to ensure that the lining of the uterus receives sufficient stimulation and sustains the implantation of the embryos. Quantitative pregnancy tests with blood must also be svheduled 12-14 days after embryo transfer.
